Misc. Comments
HMB lists no distribution of a version with any type of orchestral complement (actually arranged by someone else!) before 1901 in a fast lookup at minimum so most probably this really can be a work for violin and violin. However, many college student concertos and concertinos are usually works with piano rather than an orchéstra.
